The building is situated lengthwise along the slope. The central hall cuts through the building in the transverse direction and shifts levels up the hill. On the right side of the central hall are the hot floor functions: emergency care, operating department, intensive care, maternity ward, etc. On the left side of the central hall are the public functions, outpatient clinics, research functions, and the psychiatric department. The public can park in the public garage, which will also be used by visitors of the large supermarket that will be built on the same site.
Logistical functions
The logistical functions are located on the side and back of the hospital, partly sunken into the hill. This creates a logical separation of flows from the access road parallel to the building: public at the front, ambulances on the right side near the hot floor, and logistics from the left side.
Nursing units
The nursing units are accommodated in two U-shaped building parts, placed back-to-back and shifted opposite each other along a wide central corridor with lift cores. The single rooms are located on the outer side of a wide central area with lounges, nursing stations, seating, and dining areas. From the rooms, one has a magnificent view of the hill and the forests or on the other side of the lower city district with large green parks.
