Timber construction and circularity
The assignment involved designing a sustainable and energy-neutral building. We achieved this through the use of a green roof with skylights and south-facing solar panels, along with a heat pump that provides the required amount of energy. The structure is entirely made of wood, specifically cross-laminated timber (CLT) elements, and is fully demountable. The north façade and garden wall will be constructed using gabion nets filled with reused stones.

Sustainable techniques
In summary, the reuse of building materials combined with new sustainable techniques and the ability to reuse applied materials elsewhere ensure that the building is not only sustainable but also a model of circular construction.
The environmental permit has been applied for, and according to the schedule, the vehicle storage facility will be operational in 2021.
