Centre de soins résidentiel Marijke Hiem

The softening of the transition from private to communal, from indoor to outdoor, and from care to living is the guiding principle behind the construction of the Marijke Hiem residential care center in Heerenveen. The complex comprises 10 living groups and central facilities grouped around various gardens. Self-sufficiency and freedom of choice form the foundation of the design concept by architectural firm Gortemaker Algra Feenstra.
