Housing for Long-Term Stay
The housing units for long-term stay have both an exterior front door and an internal door. The target group consists largely of elderly individuals with varying degrees of dementia. The building is therefore designed with multiple wandering routes that cross through it. Additionally, recognizable landmarks have been incorporated into the design for residents, both at the level of the individual housing units and in the communal areas of the building.

Star-Shaped Building Mass
The concept of 93 front doors results in a star-shaped building mass that blends into the surrounding landscape. A large part of the building consists of only one floor, which enhances the desired small-scale integration into the environment.

Meeting Spaces
Residents can meet each other in the communal spaces, which provide areas for relaxation and therapy. All eleven meeting spaces receive direct daylight. Various interests of resident groups are supported through different themes in the design of these spaces, such as the garden room, the music room, the communal kitchen, and the game room.

Landscape
The landscape design is created by Bureau B+B. The main focus is on the diversity of gardens and a wide variety of walking routes. This encourages residents to be more active while allowing them to choose their own route based on their mobility. Additionally, several distinctive features have been designed to aid orientation, such as a handrail near the athletics track, aquatic plants and reeds by the Ronde Weel, and small terraces at the ends of the residential wings.
