Specific and recognisable spaces
The building can be defined by its spatial organisation and orientation which creates specific and recognisable spaces for the users. Each circulation space has its own design with a unique atmosphere. The building itself appears to rest on a mass of rocks, which creates an easily recognisable site for the visiting patients. The Twinkeling is the first project in the Netherlands where regular day-care and care for children with disabilities comes together. It has therefore been chosen by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport as a pilot-project.
